Pups and Proposal – Part 2: His Name Is…!

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who helped contribute to the ideas of possible names for our new little guy! It put a smile on my face to see suggestions from people all over!
Even one of my most favorite past English teachers was sure to cast his vote towards an idea of name.

You wouldn’t believe the name posted!
There were suggestions like Radar and Espresso, Duke, Rocky, Shadow, Gunnar and even Maximus. Someone wanted us to name him Beyonce, which, I wasn’t too sure as to how to win Cole over with that one. And, while the name Cooper was taken into very strong consideration, that choice still didn’t feel quite fulfilling.

Nevertheless, we actually decided to go with a name which was a little different than the ones in the comment section of my Facebook or Instagram.
And while neither one of us are very celebrity savvy, when one of our friends jokingly called our new puppy by this particular name, we knew we’d found his title!

So, ladies and gentlemen, without further adieu: the name we’ve decided upon, is:
Michael Jackson! (MJ, for short)

And let me tell you why.
If you look closely, this little German Shepherd only has one solid white paw; which will stay that color for the rest of his life.
The late, and widely famous artist, singer, dancer and performer Michael Jackson also had one single white glove, which he wore and was well know for rocking during the duration of his career.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed that MJ is fierce and brave, even when playing with our older, full grown German Shepherd, Dude. He also sort of bounces when he runs and loves to cuddle when he get’s sleepy. He has a super voracious appetite and sometimes gets in trouble for eating Skye’s food. Plus, he already responds to his name when he’s called, which is amazing to us being that he is only just a little under 3 months.

Michael Jackson has captured our hearts and is the new baby of the family!

Now, now.
I know that having 3 dogs is a lot, and you’re probably thinking that instead of being a lonely ole’ cat lady, I’ll be the one with the dogs.

But a recent event has completely demolished that theory!

Read all about my “surprise” proposal in part 3 of Pups and Proposal, on the blog, next week! There will be exclusive photos of Cole on bended knee and myself.. well, crying and whatnot 🙂

Looking forward to seeing you next week!
