And how is the year almost over already?!
In less than 2 months it will be 2015.
So many-many things have happened this year.
From flying from my old place in New York, to packing the last of my things in Atlanta, to heading out to Chicago for half of the year, to visiting Houston and finally making my way to the West Coast to good ole’ California.
I’ve been quite the modern-day nomad — but gosh has it been exciting!
And though my current journeys and adventure have been thrilling — to say the least, this November does come with it’s pieces of sorrow and grievances.
It will be the first year without my father, whom of which passed last year, a month before my birthday.
Those holidays which celebrate family and togetherness, like Thanksgiving and Christmas were some of his most favorite of days. My father was a man who lived for the sake of his family and being with them.
On the 24th of November, I and those whom held him dearest will be celebrating his life in our hearts.
And, if anything, I am thankful to be closest to family around this time of the year.
As you grow, you begin to understand how beautiful it is to have people in your life who care about you.
As the weather changes, becoming cooler to cold and colder — there is a warmth that is inspired when we remember the things of which we can be thankful for.
I am thankful for:
Sound mind — body — spirit
And for You; whomever is reading this right now.
