2012 Venice Film Fest Fashion HighlightsThe Venice Film Festival is focusing on its artistic roots this year, courting celebrated directors and not flashy Hollywood blockbusters.
Festival director Alberto Barbera trimmed the number of movies premiering at the world’s oldest film festival, which opens Wednesday, to just 18 in competition for the coveted Golden Lion, Venice’s top prize. And the overall selection is just 60 films – about half the offerings in previous years. However, despite Barbera’s aim for humbling the award ceremonies’ range of which films to highlight and honor this year, his list of celebrities attendees are of course, as always, A-List, with tremendous star quality and high class-style.
Stunning Host – Kasia Smutniak wore a Jill Sander Fall 2012 dress for a photo call, in which she looked simply gorgeous! The actress was right to opt for the minimalist approach, keeping the look clean and only selecting neutral pumps. And for the show, expressed even more elegance in a Valentino Fall 2012 gown.
